Business as usual

Yeah! I know! It's been a while since I last posted something. I did not become lazy, I promise. It;s not a convenient excuse, it's just that last week I was completely busy. So many things to do, to prepare and to finish. First of all, I went some weeks ago with my friend Rachel to buy some fabrics around Sheperd's Bush. I bought an amazing fabric,with traffic signs and trucks motifs, because I actually fell in love with it. I pictured  a shirt in my mind, and I've been sewing it until today. This is it! I only have to sew the buttons and the buttonholes by hand, but I couldn't resist to show it here.

Si! Lo sé! Ha pasado un tiempo desde la ultima vez que posteé algo. No me he vuelto vago, lo prometo. No es una excusa oportuna, es solo que la semana pasada estuve completamente ocupado. Tantas cosas que hacer, que preparar y que acabar. Primero de todo, hace unas semanas fue con Rachel a comprar algunas telas por Sheperd's Bush. Compré una tela increible, con estampado de señales de trafico y camiones, porque realmente me enamoró. Me imaginé una camisa en mi mente, y la he estado cosiendo hasta hoy. Aquí está! Sólo me queda coser los botones y ojales a mano, aunque no me he podido resistir a enseñarla por aquí.

The other reasons why I've been busy are the visit of the lovely half spanish half irish couple of friends, Patri and Val, who came over our house from Dublin to spend the weekend with my boyfriend and I. We had such a great time together and managed to take some nice pictures of those few days wandering central London.

Las otras razones por las que he estado ocupado han sido la visita de la encantadora pareja medio española medio irlandesa de Patri y Val, quienes vinieron a casa desde Dublín para pasar el fin de semana con mi novio y conmigo. Lo pasamos muy bien todos juntos y nos las arreglamos para hacer algunas fotos chulas de esos días paseando por el centro de Londres. 

When Val and Patri came, last friday night, we welcomed them with freshly made sushi from The Wine Shop (Brewer St), and Paul prepared strawberries with chocolate and a bottle of Champagne.

Cuando Val y Patri vinieron, el pasado viernes noche, les dimos la bienvenida con sushi fresco de The Wine Shop (Brewer St) y Paul preparó fresas con chocolate y una botella de Champán. 

Traducción : Lo he intentado, pero siempre es en vano, no beber demasiado champán, pero cuando tengo problemas, necesito esas burbujas, y me pasa una y otra vez

The following morning, with such a sunny day and warm temperature, we had breakfast in the back yard, toasted bagels with butter and figs marmalade. I guess someone else enjoyed them too.

 A la mañana siguiente, con el día soleado y tan cálida temperatura, desayunamos en el jardín, panecillos tostados con mantequilla y mermelada de higos, supongo que alguien mas tambien los disfrutó. 

And we made our way to Camden, where we shown up to this fake beach they created as a celebration for the Olimpics. 

Y nos fuimos para Camden, donde aparecimos en esta playa ficticia que crearon como celebración por las olimpiadas. 

Later on we took a walk around central London and ended up in Tower Bridge, so that we could see the olimpic rings hanging underneath the bridge.

Más tarde dimos un paseo por el centro de Londres, y acabamos en Tower Bridge, para observar los anillos olímpicos colgando debajo del puente. 

In our way back home, we took a bus to Liverpool St. and played a bit with the CCTV. I guess Val and I got bored to the point of pretending we were fighting so that the passengers saw it.

De camino a casa, cogimos un autobus hasta Liverpool St. y jugamos un poco con las cámaras de éste. Supongo que Val y yo nos aburrimos hasta el punto de aparentar que nos estabamos peleando para que los pasajeros lo viesen.
